Hjalmar Bekker and Jansie Moolman, the founding members of Moonstone, set out to surround themselves with a small band of caring people for whom it was important to remain both independent and uncompromised. The reason for this is simply that these are also the core values of our clients.
Hjalmar is responsible for compliance, training, information refining and licensing while Jansie oversees the development of the hugely untapped emerging markets and the strategic alliances required to make it succeed. Their vast practical industry experience enables them to anticipate the impact of change to the benefit of Moonstone clients.
Paul Kruger looks after Moonstone`s information refining services. All his working experience of 31 years was gained in the financial services industry, which explains his understanding of and empathy with the world of the financial advisor
Cobus Gresse heads Moonstone Compliance (Pty) Ltd. His extensive practical experience in the legal world, both here and in the UK, provides the ideal platform for managing our various compliance services. He is also responsible for some 35 Compliance Officers who service around 900 brokerages and other entities nationally.
Louise van Niekerk is in charge of Moonstone`s Licensing division and also looks after our HR functions.
Henk Geldenhuys is Moonstone`s financial manager who, in addition to a number of related qualifications, also has the right surname for the job.
Paul Lawrence brings a wealth of industry knowledge and experience, particularly in the fields of Scenario Planning, Strategy, Marketing and IT. He is currently General Manager looking after strategy and business development. He is also accountable for a number of key account clients as well as providing compliance consulting.
Albert Marais heads Moonstone Intellectual Capital, our Inseta accredited training service provider. He holds a string of degrees from Stelenbosch University, and spent 21 years at this renowned institution`s agricultural facility, the last 12 as rector of it`s Elsenburg Agricultural College. In addition to his agricultural background he also holds an MBA. If you want to know why his students called him AWOL I suggest you ask him yourself.
